Celebrating Individuality with a Unique Design in Sweet Home, Oregon

When Kelly approached me to create her wedding gown, she brought an infectious enthusiasm and a clear vision of who she wanted to be on her special day. With her unique style and personality, it was a joy to craft a gown that was not only beautiful but also a true reflection of her individuality.

Kelly's dress featured a stunning bustier-style boatneck bodice adorned with delicate lace appliqués cascading gracefully onto the skirt. To highlight her shoulders, we designed pearl-beaded straps that added a touch of elegance without overwhelming her petite frame. One of my favorite elements was the illusion back, adorned with custom buttons sourced from New York City, which extended down the back of a full circle skirt layered with soft tulle, Chantilly lace, and a barely blush pink mikado satin. This thoughtful color choice not only enhanced her radiant complexion but also added a romantic warmth to the overall design.

To complete her bridal look, I created a two-tier blusher veil with a subtle ivory trim, which framed Kelly’s face beautifully as she walked down the aisle. The combination of the gown and veil was a match made in heaven, perfectly suited for her wedding at Stars Attractions in Sweet Home, Oregon.

What made this experience particularly special was the freedom Kelly gave me to explore creative options. She trusted me to infuse her gown with unique details that spoke to her personal style. This trust allowed us to highlight her physical attributes in a way that celebrated her individuality. The barely blush pink base was chosen to boost the glow of her skin tone and create a soft, ethereal look. The beading on the straps was strategically placed to draw attention to her sparkling eyes, enhancing her features without overshadowing her natural beauty.

We also selected lace with a scale that complemented her height, ensuring a balanced and harmonious design. The neckline emphasized her strong shoulders while providing the coverage she desired, merging comfort with style. To enhance her curves, the sculpted bodice with its lace illusion back offered secure coverage and a perfect fit, allowing her to feel confident and radiant throughout the day.

The gown's foundation was built with crisp lines and strong fabrics, mirroring Kelly’s inner strength. Soft tulle and delicate floral appliqués added gracefulness that balanced the stronger elements of the design, creating a beautiful synergy. The beading chosen enhanced the gown’s overall aesthetic without overshadowing its subtle strength, making the design both playful and elegant.
