For Lauren and Greg’s wedding, I knew the moment I met Lauren that her gown would be all about elegance and timelessness. She’s the kind of person who lights up a room with her smile, but she’s also down-to-earth and easygoing. We first met when I hemmed her bridesmaid dress for another wedding, and even though she wasn’t engaged at the time, we started chatting about her dream wedding gown. Lauren’s style is classic, with a love for simplicity, and she wanted her gown to reflect that.

The gown itself was all about clean lines and understated luxury. Made from a cream-colored crepe with tiny flecks of gold woven in, it had a subtle shimmer when it caught the light, which added the perfect touch of magic without being over the top. The square neckline framed her face beautifully, and the custom buttons, which were made in New York City, added a bit of character while staying true to her vision of simplicity. Her train, though minimal in design, bustled up flawlessly into a ballroom bustle that was so discreet, you almost wouldn’t notice it.

But let me tell you, the real showstopper was her veil. It was a double-fullness chapel-length veil, adorned with thousands of pearls that shone under every light. The veil wasn’t just a detail—it was the highlight of her whole look. I made sure to match it to the pearl necklace that has been worn by the women in Lauren’s family for generations, which made the whole ensemble even more personal. Lauren loves classic, timeless things, and she had her heart set on wearing this family heirloom from the beginning.

Lauren and Greg’s wedding took place at St. Paul Catholic Parish, the oldest Catholic church in Oregon. They chose the venue because of their shared love for history, which I thought was such a cool and personal touch. The day itself was like something out of a storybook. Lauren walked down the aisle with that gorgeous veil trailing behind her, and I think every single person was holding back tears when she and Greg said their vows. The love between them was so evident, and you could just feel how much they cared for each other.

Lauren and Greg danced all night, and I’m pretty sure Lauren didn’t leave the dance floor once! Her ballroom bustle made moving in the gown no problem. It was the perfect way to cap off a beautiful day, and I couldn’t be happier for them.

Their wedding was elegant, full of love, and true to who they are as a couple—just like Lauren’s gown. It was such a pleasure to be part of their special day!
